How to Re-Send Notifications
Re-sending notifications in DualEnroll allows you to prompt users who haven't completed their required steps, or users who claim they never received their notification/email. You can also add a customized message to make the notification more effective.
Accessing the Resend Notifications Feature
- Navigate to the Registrations tab in your DualEnroll account.
- Use the filtering options to narrow down to the specific registrations you want to target:
- Select a specific High School or High School Group if needed
- Choose a specific Course if applicable
- Select a Term if you want to limit to a particular term
- Search by specific Student if applicable
- The crucial step: From the Steps dropdown menu, select the specific step for which you want to resend notifications.
- After selecting a step, a Step Actions menu will appear next to the Steps dropdown.
- Click the Step Actions dropdown menu and select Resend Notifications.
Customizing and Sending the Notification
You'll now see the original system notification template that is used for this step.
In the Additional Email Message box, enter your custom message that will appear above the standard notification content. You can think of this as the "amplification message" and helps emphasize why the communication is important.
In the Additional Text Message box, enter a shorter version of your message for SMS notifications.
Click the SEND button to distribute the reminder messages.
Best Practices
- Keep your amplification message clear and concise
- Explain why completing the step is important or urgent
- Include any relevant deadlines
- For text messages, keep it brief - users will only see the first few words on their lock screen
Notes
- Notifications will only be sent to users who have not yet completed the selected step
- The additional text will appear above the standard notification content
- You can send different reminders to different groups by changing your filtering criteria
- Each reminder can have a unique amplification message, ensuring communications don't feel repetitive
Remember that the Step Actions menu only appears after you've selected a specific step from the Steps dropdown menu.
