Adding and Configuring Partner High Schools
When expanding your dual enrollment program to include new high schools, you'll need to add them to your DualEnroll platform. This guide walks you through the process step by step.
Adding a New High School
- Navigate to the Admin tab in the main navigation menu
- Select "High Schools" from the options on the right side of the page
- Click the "ADD" button at the top of the high schools list
- In the search box, enter either:
- The name of the high school
- The city where the high school is located
- The state where the high school is located
- Click the "ADD" button next to the correct high school in the search results
Note: If you can't find the high school you're looking for, submit a help desk ticket with the school name and city, and our team will add it to the database.
Configuring Basic High School Settings
After adding the high school, you'll see several important settings, some of which you can edit:
Basic Information:
- SCHOOL NAME: Displays the official name of the high school
- DISTRICT: Shows the school district the high school belongs to
- NCES ID: A unique federal identifier for the school
- COURSE HS ID, APP HS ID, OTHER HS ID: These fields will be configured during technical integration with your student information system - our technical team will help define these values
Registration Settings:
- PAYMENT POLICY: Select how course fees will be handled (e.g., student pay, high school pay)
- Hide from New Account Page: Check this box to prevent the high school from appearing in the dropdown during student account creation. Students will not be able to select the high school when creating an application if this box is checked.
- Disable Registrations: Prevent students from registering for courses
- NO REGISTRATION MESSAGE: Add a custom message that students will see when registration is disabled for this high school
After configuring these settings, click the UPDATE button to save your changes.
Additional Setup Options:
- High School Users: Add counselors and administrators using the ADD button in the High School Users section. For more information, see our guide for creating and managing high school users.
- Feeder High Schools: If this high school serves as a hub for other schools' dual enrollment courses, add those schools using the ADD button in the Feeder High Schools section
- Programs: Assign specific dual enrollment programs to this high school using the ADD button in the Programs section.
