Using DualEnroll as a High School User
Welcome to DualEnroll! This guide will help you understand how to use the platform to manage your students' dual enrollment registrations.
Getting Started
First Time Login
- Click the link in your invitation email to create your account, or
- Use the login credentials provided by your college administrator
- On first login, you'll be prompted to change your password if one was set for you
Understanding Your Dashboard
When you log in, you'll land on the Registrations tab, where you'll see:
- Students who need your review or approval (highlighted in yellow)
- All registrations from your high school
- Status of each registration in the process
Reviewing Student Registrations
Finding Registrations That Need Your Action:
- Look for highlighted items at the top of your list
- Click on the step name to open the review page
- Review the student's information
- Choose to approve, decline, or request more information
- Add any necessary comments
- Click "Complete Step" to submit your decision
Using Batch Mode for Multiple Approvals
If you have many registrations to review:
- Select the step from the "Step" dropdown menu
- Click "Step Actions"
- Choose "Complete in Batch Mode"
- Review multiple students efficiently on one screen
Note: This option is not available for all step types, particularly those requiring the uploading of documents. If you do not see this option, that step is not available to be completed in batch mode.
Monitoring Student Progress
You can track all your students' registrations by:
- Viewing the full registration list
- Using filters to find specific students or courses
- Checking registration status in real-time
- Downloading reports for your records
Available Filters:
- Course: Find registrations for a specific course
- Term: View registrations for specific terms
- Status: Filter by current step in the process
- Search: Look up specific students by name
Common Tasks
Helping Students Fix Issues:
- Review the registration details
- Check any error messages or comments
- Guide the student on what information is needed
- Update the registration once resolved
Accessing Reports:
- Click the Reports tab
- Select your desired report type
- Choose your high school
- Select the relevant term(s)
- Download the report
Communication Features
The platform will notify you when:
- A student needs your approval
- There are issues to resolve
- Important deadlines are approaching
You can:
- Add comments to registrations
- View communication history
- See notifications sent to students and parents
- Track document submissions
Best Practices
For Efficient Registration Management:
- Check your dashboard regularly
- Process approvals promptly to avoid delays
- Use batch mode for multiple similar approvals
- Keep clear records in your comments
- Maintain current contact information
