Can a Counselor Belong to Multiple Schools?
If you have a counselor that needs to approve for students at multiple schools, there are a few ways this could be handled within the platform.
What you cannot do is simply add them to both high schools as a counselor- counselors require a direct relationship to a high school or a district.
The most common solution is to consider if those two schools belong to a shared school district. If so, we can add their schools to a district within the DualEnroll system, and you can then create the user as a District level user.
This may require us to perform some data entry in our database to either create the district or to edit the high schools to ensure they belong to the district properly. You can request this sort of data entry using our help desk. It is not possible for you add these new entries yourself.
If the counselor's multiple schools do not belong to the same school district, then we recommend they have two accounts in the system: one for each school. Odds are they should have two separate work emails for each of the two schools, so these should be used to add them to the system, rather than a shared personal email.
